ServiceMesh Case Studies

ServiceMesh generally works with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 customers. These are large organizations dealing with all the issues surrounding large-scale business transformation, heading toward the implementation of Agile IT. Some recent case studies include:

Top 10 Bank

This bank, ranked in the top 10 in the world,  first became a ServiceMesh customer in 2008, looking to roll out an “enterprise cloud” that could securely bridge internal and external resources and provide a convenience layer for accessing applications, services, and stacks. The company subscribed to the ServiceMesh Agility Platform, and built a business model that details the advantages and run-rate reductions of using ServiceMesh to manage compute in an Agile IT operating model across multiple internal and external providers.  The first program is to enable the bank's build/dev/test operations to run on the enterprise cloud, delivering immediate and significant cost savings.

Top 10 Life Sciences

This top 10 life sciences company became a ServiceMesh customer in 2008, subscribing to the ServiceMesh platform for the purposes of instituting cloud-based, federated identity access and secure off-line synchronization for the company's sales force.  The company was able to solve its immediate business goals while establishing the foundation for a secure, enterprise-class private cloud.  The company is now looking to leverage this capability to create revenue generating services from internal processes, expand the number of SaaS providers it can manage with existing identity management, and introduce virtual desktops to dramatically lower current operating
costs.

Top 10 Consumer Products

This global consumer products company engaged ServiceMesh In 2009 to enable transformation to a new Agile IT operating model, driving toward the provision and consumption of infrastructure, platforms and software as-a-service. In addition to extending internal identity management to a federated model that enables single-sign-on across internal and external providers, the company was seeking to exploit a wide set of solution profiles via the ServiceMesh Agility platform including: infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and software-as-a-service (SaaS).
