Former ServiceNow and BMC Worldwide Sales Executive to Lead Next Phase of Growth at ServiceMesh
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – June 22, 2012 – ServiceMesh, provider of the industry’s only enterprise-grade cloud management platform for Global 2000 companies, today announced it has named Craig Harper as vice president of worldwide sales. Bringing more than 25 years of global sales and management experience to ServiceMesh, Harper will be responsible for the execution and expansion of all revenue-generating activities. He joins ServiceMesh following an extremely successful track record of growing ServiceNow revenues from $18 million to $160 million within three years, and building the Fortune 2000 customer base for BMC Software for over 14 years.
“ServiceMesh is growing at a record pace because of our success helping some of the world’s largest enterprise IT organizations transform their costly and constrained IT services delivery model into a cloud-based, everything-as-a-service model that quickly aligns to business needs, while also minimizing costs and complexity,” said Eric Pulier, CEO of ServiceMesh. “Craig’s track record of exceeding sales goals and his experience managing hyper-sales growth will serve to amplify our success and corporate growth trajectory.”
Prior to ServiceMesh, Harper served as vice president of sales and services at ServiceNow, a pioneer and market leader in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) based IT service management software, where among other achievements he restructured the sales organization and implemented processes and tools to exceed the company’s aggressive growth objectives. During Harper’s three year tenure, ServiceNow grew recurring revenues by an order of magnitude and was recognized by Forbes, Deloitte and the Wall Street Journal. Before ServiceNow, Harper spent 14 years at BMC Software, serving in a variety of positions which ultimately lead to vice president of worldwide product sales, solutions and consulting. At BMC, Harper oversaw the daily operations of a 367-member global specialized sales force with revenues of $1.1 billion and was responsible for global pre-sales consulting, solutions architecture, field marketing, and mergers & acquisition, including ongoing responsibility for acquired companies.
“ServiceMesh has already obtained outstanding sales growth, an enviable customer list, and strong recognition from leading analyst firms and industry groups for its Agility Platform,” said Harper. “With the only enterprise-grade cloud management platform capable of providing comprehensive governance, security, and lifecycle management control, ServiceMesh is clearly poised for continued success, and I’m excited to help take the company to the next level.”
