Agility Manager

agility-manager.png

Application developers and operations personnel can use Agility Manager to automate the application lifecycle’s Run phase. Users simply can select and activate target workloads to create new instances in minutes, or they can stop activated  instances just as quickly. As part of the process, users can designate specific resources for  hosting selected workloads. Note that Agility Manager handles private and public cloud resources equally well. In fact, it already integrates with an ever-expanding set of public and virtual private resource offerings from Amazon, GoGrid, Savvis, and other leading providers. Agility Manger abstracts over the technical and operational differences between various providers to deliver a simple, unified interface that streamlines the runtime management process. With Agility Manager, users can attach a runtime stack to appropriate application data stores. During workload runtime, Agility Manager monitors and controls the instance. Finally, Agility Manager implements a full policy management system that allows enterprises to specify:

  • Which users can interact with which workloads and cloud resources
  • Which actions users can perform

Using Agility Manager enables a fully controlled, managed, and governed run-time environment.
